Job Title: Vice President, People & Culture

Job Description
The Vice President, People & Culture will own our People, Culture and Talent functions, leading transformational change to grow the business. This key leadership role will act as a strategic and tactical People business partner, providing counsel, developing roadmaps and executing on all people and culture related initiatives.
The Vice President, People & Culture will drive all cultural initiatives, performance management, talent acquisition and development, engagement and retention, learning and career development, and workforce planning. The role will also be responsible for Reward including compensation and benefits and people systems.
As the people expert, this role will represent the people voice of the business, developing the people strategy to drive a high-performance culture to maximize business growth.
Responsibilities
· Values and Strategy: Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to build and execute the people strategy, focused on improving effectiveness to achieve business objectives while anticipating future organizational design.
· Transformational change: Lead the business through all change management initiatives to help develop a high performing and collaborative team.
· Business Partnering: Develop strong business partnering relationships with the CEO, leadership team and all stakeholders across the division and business.
· Talent, Capability and Successional Planning: Work with CEO and leadership team to understand and anticipate hiring and development needs against the capabilities needed to deliver business objectives. Lead and develop successional planning, recruiting top talent, delivering a talent pipeline for current and future roles.
· Values and Culture: Help create and maintain our internal values, embedding them and bringing them to life in how we work. Promote the development of a diverse and inclusive work culture through employee initiatives that enable our people to be their best at work.
· Employee Engagement: Lead our employee engagement initiatives to ensure a highly engaged and productive workforce. Promote a culture of health and wellbeing.
· Performance Management, Reward and Recognition: Support leaders to performance manage, identifying high and low performers, creating a performance management culture of continuous feedback and improvement.
· People data: Use people data to drive decision making to support business growth; reduce turnover, improve retention, reduce absence, increase internal promotions; increase employee engagement.
Qualifications
· Track record of managing transformational change, including proven ability to influence and drive change management.
· Proven ability to lead end to end Organizational Design, including developing and execution on all people strategies.
· Track record of business partnering across all functions.
· 10 years+ progressive and hands on HR & People experience.
· Strong understanding of HR legislation across Canada and the US. International knowledge a plus.
· Proven ability to think and act strategically, while implementing practices to drive efficient operations.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse effectively at all levels.
· Effective planning and organizational skills.
· Thrives in a fast-paced environment, ever changing environment.
